Welcome to Play Forms.

Play Forms is a space for my personal projects. Away from commissions,
I work intuitively, creating forms that hover somewhere between pictogram, idol and character. They borrow from ancient signs and talismans, from toys and folk objects, and from the shapes children draw before they learn the rules.
Each one feels both familiar and strange, as if it had always existed and I simply found it.

The work moves between mediums: sketchbook drawings, ink on paper, acrylic on board, print, masks and stitch. What stays the same is the sense that each form has a presence of its own. A figure with a single eye, a character made of three marks, a symbol that seems to carry a meaning just out of reach.

Selected originals and editions are available in the Shop.
